We were called out to a job recently where the customer had “accidentally” filled up his car with red diesel. This was obviously going to save him a lot of money!
Unfortunately for him HMRC didn’t agree that this was a good idea and decided to fine him for it – as well as demanding that the fuel was removed.
So, in the end the customer not only paid for the red diesel, but he also had to pay an HMRC fine and for a full fuel drain. Sounds like a very false economy here.
The moral of the story is: DO NOT USE RED DIESEL!
